Onshore Operations Supervisor – Fishing

Overview

In this role you will supervise onshore activities supporting offshore fishing operations from Aberdeen, coordinating planning, equipment readiness, and stakeholder communication. You drive safety culture, operations efficiency, and compliance across multiple departments. You will lead fishing tool supervisors, support mobilisations, and ensure customer expectations are met through proactive planning and risk management. This is a hands-on, client-facing position that shapes operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Support customer operational requirements and develop solutions for client challenges in planning
• Coordinate and supervise onshore activities supporting offshore operations
• Participate in customer meetings and represent operations professionally
• Ensure equipment, tools, consumables, documentation, and personnel are ready for schedules
• Support mobilisations and demobilisations of equipment and personnel
• Engage in operational planning meetings and coordinate across departments
• Promote a positive safety culture and high-performance environment
• Supervise fishing tool supervisors and identify training/competency needs
• Conduct performance discussions, coaching and employee engagement activities
• Lead by example in HSE policy compliance and regulatory adherence
• Engage in risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions
• Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, utilization, reliability, and service quality
• Support implementation of new processes and operational initiatives
• Support operational excellence and cost-control efforts

Key requirements

• Five years’ experience in fishing operations
• Ability to coordinate and prioritise multiple tasks and ongoing projects
• Effective communication skills
• Strong team working skills
• Experience in client facing roles
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
