Overview

In this role you will lead financial, tax and regulatory reporting for the group, ensuring accuracy of accounting records and compliance across entities. You will collaborate with tax teams and external advisers to manage VAT and income tax, and oversee audits and statutory accounts. The position entails strengthening internal controls, optimizing working capital, and guiding cross-border reporting. Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial, tax and regulatory reporting for the group entities
  • Coordinate VAT, income tax, and tax payments with Alstom Tax Team and external advisers
  • Lead VAT/submissions, Intrastat, and EC sales lists across multiple countries
  • Manage statutory accounts process for all entities and ensure compliance
  • Monitor tax-efficient purchasing and transfer pricing journals across countries
  • Lead external audits and liaise with auditors and tax advisers
  • Own balance sheet reconciliations and improve related processes
  • Drive FX policy, treasury controls, and working capital management
  • Oversee internal controls program and support entity simplification for growth
  • Manage Financial Accountants and contribute to ad hoc duties
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and Nomad values
  • Support cross-functional collaboration with internal/external stakeholders

Key requirements

  • 5+ years post-qualification experience
  • 3+ years in a senior finance manager role
  • Financial accounting knowledge with practical application
  • Professional qualification (ACA or ACCA) or equivalent
  • ERP experience; NetSuite advantageous
  • Advanced Excel skills; strong MS Office proficiency
  • Experience with cross-border tax and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of data protection provisions and their application
