Overview

In this role you will deliver proactive HR support to the Milton Keynes site, partnering with the HR Business Partner to shape people, training, and operational activity. You will guide managers on employee relations, performance, absence, and policy compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will lead recruitment and onboarding for site roles and drive learning initiatives to build workforce capability. Responsibilities

  • Provide expert HR guidance on employee relations, performance management, conduct, absence, and policy compliance to ensure fair practices.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for site-based roles with accurate offers and contracts and a positive onboarding experience.
  • Support performance and attendance management, including investigations, reviews, appraisals, objective setting, and health referrals while following company procedures.
  • Coordinate and support learning and development activities, including line manager training, policy briefings, training records, and training matrices.
  • Support compliance, audit, and governance activities ensuring HR processes and documents meet legal and internal standards.
  • Act as an HR ambassador at the plant, promoting values, supporting engagement, effective communication, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Key requirements

  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/FMCG or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of UK employment legislation
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build credible relationships with managers and employees at all levels
  • Organised, adaptable and customer-focused
  • Experience supporting recruitment and employee relations activities
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience is desirable
