Overview
In this role you ensure BT’s networks stay online 24/7 by maintaining electrical power and cooling systems across diverse sites. You will work with cross-functional teams, own designated patches, and contribute to meeting tight SLAs. Training will cover a broad scope of maintenance activities with a mix of delivery methods and some travel. A formal on-call framework supports round-the-clock service. This position requires a full UK driving licence and physical readiness.

Responsibilities
- Identify and report HSE/Compliance/Design issues to Power Environmental or Power Technical Support teams
- Own designated patch and sites to support area, regional and unit objectives
- Share best practices and mentor colleagues on new ideas and technologies
- Manage critical and urgent network repair/provision/maintenance activities
- Execute prioritized work items aligned with team priorities and coordinate with patch managers
- Conduct risk assessments for health and safety
- Escalate issues/risks to senior staff to enable change
- Proactively develop skills to support team work
- Propose process improvements within and beyond the work area
- Maintain compliance including health surveillance as required
Key requirements
- Electrical competency City & Guilds 2360 parts 1+2 or NVQ or equivalent
- BTEC Electrical Engineering Level 3/HNC/HND/MOET Level 3 or equivalent
- Full UK manual Driving Licence
- Physical ability to perform bending, kneeling, climbing and handling heavy loads
- Willingness to participate in an on-call framework and travel across region
- Coaching/mentoring experience
