In this role you will contribute to the UK’s energy transition by delivering electrical engineering design across transmission and distribution projects. You will be part of the T&D team, supporting grid modernisation and the integration of renewable energy sources. You’ll work on challenging projects from concept to detail, collaborating with clients, stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities
- Provide electrical engineering design consultancy across transmission and distribution projects
- Contribute to HV systems analysis, cabling, substations, protection, SCADA and HVDC/ interconnectors
- Support grid modernisation initiatives and large-scale energy infrastructure programs
- Engage with clients, colleagues, stakeholders and subcontractors to capture feedback and explain technical issues
- Contribute to UK grid programs (e.g., Great Grid) and offshore/renewable energy integration
- Ensure designs comply with BS and/or Eurocodes and industry standards
Key requirements
- Qualification in electrical/electronic/power engineering or equivalent (e.g., HNC/HND, BSc/BEng, MSc/MEng)
- Demonstrable electrical engineering design consultancy experience on T&D projects
- Working knowledge of BS and/or Eurocodes for design standards
