Overview

As Senior Network Engineer you will architect, design and manage Ryan’s network, telephony, and video infrastructure. You will lead day-to-day operations within the Network and Telecommunications team to ensure high availability, performance, and security. You’ll own cross-location projects and collaborate with development teams to resolve bottlenecks and drive improvements. This role is the senior technical expert for the network team, shaping our infrastructure roadmap and security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and manage network, telephony and video infrastructure
  • Provide day-to-day support and act as technical reference for staff
  • Lead and deliver cross-functional infrastructure projects
  • Monitor, test and optimize application performance; work with developers on fixes
  • Cross-train IT staff; provide 3rd level support; assist Service Desk; on-call rotations
  • Maintain infrastructure inventory, roadmaps, and high-availability platforms
  • Ensure ITIL-aligned service management processes (Incident, Change, Configuration) and security/compliance
  • Support disaster recovery planning and testing; ensure data security planning

Key requirements

  • Bachelor in relevant technology field; or equivalent experience
  • >7 years networking engineering in medium/large multi-location company
  • >15 years technical support experience in medium/large multi-location company
  • CCNP and CCIE certifications mandatory
  • CEH or CCDP a plus
  • Experience with MPLS, WAN optimization, network management tools, and unified communications a plus
  • Strong incident/change management experience; able to train others; excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure; manage multiple priorities; collaborate across levels and vendors
  • Security management experience including firewall configs and IDS; audit compliance reporting
  • Experience designing multi-location architectures and evaluating network technologies
