Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across major mechanical projects, overseeing technical delivery and ensuring commercial performance and client satisfaction
• Lead and grow client relationships across health, defence, aviation, transport, and other key sectors in Perth
• Drive technical excellence by setting design direction, conducting high-level reviews, and ensuring best practice standards across all mechanical deliverables
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, building capability within the team and creating clear pathways for career progression
• Contribute to business growth through work winning, market engagement, and strengthening AECOM’s reputation as a trusted technical leader in the region

Key requirements

• Chartered Engineer with WA professional engineer registration, or transferrable RPEQ/RPEV registration
• 15+ years’ experience in Building Services consultancy or significant design experience within Mechanical Contracting
• Proven record in technical design and project delivery while building and maintaining strong client relationships
• In-depth knowledge of Building Services projects and Standards, ability to share technical expertise with clients and teams
• Experience managing multiple technical projects simultaneously across various market sectors
• Excellent communication and soft skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing junior engineers
