SAP Cloud ALM Migration Consultant

Overview

In this role you will assess an existing SAP Solution Manager landscape and plan the migration of relevant capabilities into SAP Cloud ALM. You will work with an established Cloud ALM tenant to determine migration opportunities, gaps, and practical alternatives, with an emphasis on assessment, migration planning, technical enablement, and knowledge transfer. You will collaborate with SAP Basis teams on connectivity and integrations, and produce clear documentation and recommendations. This is a focused advisory/enablement role rather than a full end-to-end implementation, offering impact through migration strategy and operational enablement.

Responsibilities

• Assess SAP Solution Manager landscape, configuration, usage, and integrations
• Evaluate capabilities for migration to SAP Cloud ALM and define migration approaches
• Identify direct migrations vs. gaps and propose alternatives
• Support technical configuration and enablement in Cloud ALM
• Coordinate with SAP Basis on connectivity and technical integration
• Review tools and integrations (e.g., transport management, monitoring, third-party integrations)
• Produce documentation covering findings, recommendations, risks, dependencies, and next steps
• Advise on leveraging additional Cloud ALM capabilities (monitoring, alerting, reporting, operations)

Key requirements

• Hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager
• Practical experience with SAP Cloud ALM
• Experience in Solution Manager to Cloud ALM assessments or migration projects
• Ability to assess complex SAP environments and provide clear technical recommendations
• Experience translating business/technical requirements into migration plans
