Overview
In this role you lead the Health, Safety and Environmental strategy for the Moreton site, driving a positive safety culture and ensuring high standards across operations. You work with cross-functional teams to deliver HSE improvements, monitor performance, and develop the HSE function and capability. You influence at all levels to implement compliant, sustainable practices that support site goals. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on culture, performance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Lead the site’s Health, Safety and Environmental strategy in line with legal, regulatory and business requirements
- Drive a positive behavioural safety culture through engagement, coaching and leadership
- Deliver HSE improvement plans and performance programmes
- Monitor, analyse and report on HSE performance to support business objectives
- Lead site environmental initiatives and compliance programmes
- Manage and develop the HSE team to maximise performance and capability
- Collaborate with operational teams to maintain and continuously improve compliance standards
Key requirements
- Strong technical HSE knowledge with excellent leadership and influencing skills
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally food manufacturing
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Internal Auditor training
- Experience developing policies, procedures and safe systems of work
- Experience delivering HSE training and driving behavioural change
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation
