In this role, you will lead the strategic marketing for Wonderly’s portfolio of large-scale conferences and exhibitions, shaping plans to drive bookings, leads, and brand advocacy. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to deliver data-informed, brand-led event marketing. Your impact spans planning, budgeting, and mentoring a marketing team to meet revenue targets while evolving with market needs. Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver strategic marketing plans focused on bookings, leads, and customer adoption
- Support delegate modelling, pricing strategy and yield management to hit revenue targets
- Achieve registrations and delegate revenue targets for allocated events
- Oversee delivery of marketing plans and mentor marketing managers
- Innovate to meet KPIs and adjust plans as market conditions change
- Collaborate with event team and client stakeholders with strong communication
- Support transition to high-value, data-informed marketing model across teams
- Develop event-specific branding guidelines and act as brand guardian
- Lead design briefs and manage internal/external designers
- Lead client reporting, planning and development of a high-performing events marketing team
- Maintain sector knowledge through research and market insights
- Understand customer base and develop data-driven, segmented communications
- Manage supplier and partner relationships to deliver on strategic plans
- Identify and negotiate strategic partnerships and contra deals
- Maintain close relationships with Digital Strategy Director and Commercial, Content and Partnerships teams
Key requirements
- Strategic marketing experience with event portfolios and revenue targets
- Experience managing a marketing team at Manager level or above
- Proven track record delivering multi-channel event marketing campaigns in B2B
- Matrixed organisation experience
- Excellent client and stakeholder management
- Strong copywriting and branding skills
- Project management with collaborative tools (e.g., Monday.com)
- Budget management experience
- Experience in events/exhibitions
- Digital marketing, SEO/ads knowledge
- Data analysis and reporting capabilities
