Senior Engineering Team Lead

Overview

As Engineering Team Lead in AI Labs, you will steer multiple workstreams within the MicroPOS initiative, delivering robust, scalable software while mentoring early-career engineers. You’ll shape full-stack solutions, integrate them into the Dojo ecosystem, and guide PoC explorations with emerging tooling. This role blends hands-on architecture with people leadership in a dynamic, exploratory environment. You’ll partner with product and tech leadership to align technical work with business goals, driving impact and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture and design to ensure scalability and maintainability
• Own the software delivery lifecycle with best practices, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering an inclusive culture and leadership potential
• Collaborate with product, tech management, and stakeholders to achieve objectives with predictability
• Drive PoC initiatives to explore new tools and agentic frameworks, informing architecture decisions
• Align technical efforts with the product roadmap and optimize system performance

Key requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing people and building inclusive teams
• Strong senior software engineering background across client and server-side tech (Python, .NET, Java)
• Experience with frontend (React, TypeScript) and modern agile practices
• Solid knowledge of microservices, event-driven systems, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred)
• Interest in or experience with agentic frameworks (Google ADK, Akka, LangGraph)
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
