Overview

In this IT Project Coordinator role, you will support planning, coordination, and execution of IT projects within the IT Division. You work closely with Project Managers and Directors to ensure project outcomes align with business needs and drive continuous improvement across processes and systems. You will maintain plans, schedules, and documentation, report risks, and facilitate cross‑functional communication. You contribute to a culture of learning, governance, and auditable SOP adherence while supporting overall project success. This is a client‑facing, team‑oriented opportunity at JCDecaux UK with a clear impact on delivering reliable IT initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and coordinating project activities
  • Support development of project plans and schedules
  • Maintain project documentation (plans, schedules, reports)
  • Monitor progress and report issues or risks to the project manager
  • Facilitate communication among project team members and stakeholders
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes
  • Ensure deliverables are understood by all stakeholders
  • Maintain project logs (action items, risks, issues, changes)
  • Assist in preparation and distribution of status reports
  • Handle project-related administrative tasks (data entry, filing, document control)
  • Foster continuous improvement and ensure SOP compliance across departments
  • Ensure compliance with IT/data management laws and industry standards
  • Adhere to project management methodologies and contribute to deliverable quality
  • Learn leadership, methodology, and people skills from senior team members
  • Use and organize project management templates and software
  • Understand business needs and stay updated on PM best practices

Key requirements

  • Experience supporting project planning and coordination
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage documentation and reporting
  • Willingness to learn and apply project management methodologies
  • Basic PM qualification or equivalent experience advantageous
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Monday) preferred
  • Educated in Business, IT, or engineering-related field or relevant industry experience
  • Strong communication (written and oral)
