Overview
As Lead IT Architect, you help clients unlock CRM-driven value through scalable, business-aligned architectures. You will shape CRM strategy across sales, service and marketing, select and justify CRM platforms, and reimagine end-to-end processes. You’ll lead technical delivery, collaborate with client teams, and mentor junior colleagues while expanding our practice’s capabilities. This role offers hands-on architecture work with cross-functional impact in digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Define business-aligned CRM strategies for sales, service, and marketing to optimize customer journeys
- Evaluate and recommend CRM platforms (Salesforce, SAP CX, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Oracle, Zoho) based on requirements
- Analyze and reimagine end-to-end processes (Lead-to-Quote, Quote-to-Cash, Service Management, Customer Support) to maximize CRM value
- Build business cases for CRM transformation initiatives with ROI and outcomes
- Collaborate with client teams to drive change, ensure user adoption and process alignment for CRM implementations
- Take end-to-end responsibility for larger, complex project modules and develop specialized knowledge
- Assume team lead responsibilities and provide intellectual leadership
- Develop digital and technology concepts and support implementations on-site
- Guide junior team members, support proposals, client care, and new business opportunities
- Contribute to Practice Area development and strengthen BCG Platinion’s brand
Key requirements
- 10 to 15 years of IT architecture experience with a CRM focus in consulting
- Experience with CRM platforms: Salesforce, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle across sales, service and marketing
- Proven CRM integrations with external systems (data lakes, ERP, analytical platforms, messaging)
- Experience with commerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce) and integration platforms (Mulesoft, Dell Boomi)
- Experience with legacy integration and remediation approaches (facades, strangler pattern)
- Knowledge of modern architecture patterns (CI/CD, cloud-native, API-led integrations)
- Understanding of integration patterns (events, synchronous vs asynchronous)
- Knowledge of end-to-end business processes (Lead-to-Quote, Quote-to-Cash, Service, Marketing)
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing teams
- Strong communication for stakeholder engagement at all levels
- Ability to travel internationally
- University degree in a mathematical-scientific field, IT, or business administration (above-average performance)
