Overview
In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary Building Engineering projects to deliver design solutions from conception to delivery. You will coordinate engineers across mechanical, electrical, structural, hydraulic disciplines and manage design and project delivery, scope, and risk with clients and senior stakeholders. You’ll drive change, governance and commercial outcomes while growing the Building Engineering business through client engagement and opportunities. You collaborate with technical leaders to resolve challenges and ensure alignment with project objectives. Responsibilities
- Lead complex, multidisciplinary projects and coordinate engineering disciplines and project teams from inception to delivery.
- Understand client needs, interpret requirements, document design assumptions and risks.
- Own design management: define scope, coordinate inputs, manage interfaces, lead design reviews to meet client and programme goals.
- Manage project delivery including programme, financial performance, resourcing, governance, scope changes, risks and opportunities.
- Build relationships with clients and stakeholders, provide practical advice, and resolve project/technical challenges with leadership peers.
- Contribute to business growth through client engagement, proposals and work-winning activities by applying technical and project experience.
Key requirements
- 12+ years’ experience in Building Engineering or related disciplines.
- Engineering qualification; Chartered status highly regarded; experience in design and/or project management.
- Commercial and Contract Management experience.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects with a strong understanding of scope, programme, financial governance, change management.
- Strong client and stakeholder management skills with ability to engage with technical specialists and senior stakeholders.
