Overview
As a Control Manager aligned to EMEA, you will advise on risk mitigation and embed scalable controls across HR processes. You’ll lead independent risk challenges and end-to-end control projects, partnering with HR leaders and country heads to support safe, well-governed change. You drive governance, documentation, and issue closure, with a focus on continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. This role offers the opportunity to shape risk management practices across a global organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide dual-hatted Control Management support for EMEA and global cross-product projects
- Deliver independent risk challenges through reviews, issue analysis, and root-cause finding
- Partner with HR stakeholders to embed integrated risk assessment in change initiatives
- Lead end-to-end delivery of cross-product control projects from initiation to closure
- Support review readiness with clear documentation and timely action plan closure
- Own one or more EMEA countries, engaging with leadership on risks and control priorities
- Support regional governance forums by preparing agendas, facilitating, and following up actions
- Collaborate with second line and independent assurance teams to align on risk themes
- Ensure documentation and evidence for internal and external reviews
Key requirements
- Relevant experience in project management, operational risk, controls, control management, audit, or related risk discipline
- Understanding of operational risk management frameworks and practices including risk identification, control assessment, issue management, and reporting
- Ability to assess risk across regulatory, legal, operational, and reputational dimensions
- Strong delivery discipline turning objectives into structured plans in a matrixed, multi-stakeholder environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to synthesize complex information into actionable guidance
