Overview

In this role you will lead the development and delivery of grant-funded programmes across Foster South-East London, ensuring plans are well-structured and outcomes measurable. You will work across organisational boundaries with Children’s Services and partners to manage risks, dependencies and funding requirements, while keeping delivery aligned to agreed objectives. You will monitor progress, governance, and budgets, producing high-quality reports for senior leaders and funders. This opportunity combines programme delivery with continuous improvement to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of Foster South-East London and related programmes
  • Ensure projects are well planned, delivered on time, and demonstrate clear outcomes and impact
  • Manage risks, dependencies, and budgets; monitor grant conditions
  • Use data and performance information to track progress and support improvement
  • Develop and maintain programme plans and governance documentation
  • Produce high-quality reports and updates for senior leaders, boards and funders
  • Collaborate across Children’s Services and external organisations to achieve shared objectives
  • Keep the needs and experiences of children, young people and families at the centre of delivery

Key requirements

  • Proven experience delivering complex projects or programmes (ideally grant-funded)
  • Strong planning, monitoring, and budgeting capabilities
  • Excellent partnership and relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to identify and escalate risks and barriers and support solutions
  • Experience using data and performance information to drive improvement
  • Clear communication and engagement skills; ability to convey complex information
  • Understanding of project/programme governance and reporting for leaders and funders
