Overview

In this HR Director role within Microsoft AI (MAI), you will lead a fast-growing people function to enable strategic growth and talent excellence. You will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, coordinating HR partners, Recruiting, and Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated people solutions. Operating in an agile, mission-driven environment, you will guide leaders through growth, change, and evolving priorities. You will shape organizational effectiveness and culture at scale, contributing to MAI’s impact across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-impact HR team delivering people solutions that drive growth and employee success
  • Provide strategic change management guidance to leaders to enable agility and execution
  • Influence leaders to build high-performing teams and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Assess organizational health and operating rhythms to identify opportunities to improve performance
  • Partner with leaders to design org structures, workforce strategies, and operating models
  • Anticipate risks and propose solutions to strengthen execution and employee experience
  • Lead strategic talent planning, align hiring, succession, and investments with business objectives
  • Collaborate with Talent Management and Recruiting to close capability gaps and build pipelines
  • Leverage data and workforce insights to address talent risks and retention
  • Drive complex people initiatives and enterprise programs across HR to meet MAI needs
  • Gather and act on employee feedback and workforce trends to improve culture and inclusion
  • Embody Microsoft values and foster an inclusive workplace

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and extensive HR experience OR equivalent experience
  • Demonstrable people management experience
  • Experience influencing executives and leading through ambiguity in fast-paced environments
  • Experience partnering with technical, product, engineering, or AI-focused organizations
  • Proven success leading high-performing HR teams
  • Ability to work from the London office three days per week
