Overview

As Coventry’s Assistant Director – Planning, you will provide strategic leadership across planning policy, development management, enforcement, ecology, urban design and heritage to shape the city’s growth. You will drive housing, regeneration and inward investment, ensuring planning enables economic development. You will lead major initiatives such as the Local Plan Review and help set regional planning directions, using planning as a catalyst for place-making and decarbonisation. This role works with senior leaders, developers and partners to deliver ambitious outcomes for Coventry’s future. A collaborative, influential leader is needed to turn complex challenges into tangible benefits.

  • Provide strategic leadership across planning policy, development management, enforcement, ecology, urban design and heritage
