Overview

As a Compliance Analyst in Marsh McLennan’s Compliance Advisory team, you will support the Direct Investment Unit in a MiFID-regulated environment. You’ll provide day-to-day compliance guidance, develop and maintain policies, and monitor adherence to regulatory requirements, helping to strengthen the compliance framework. You will build trusted relationships across Investments, Compliance, and Legal, and help implement regulatory change with a focus on governance and accountability. Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day compliance advice and oversight for the Direct Investment Unit
  • Maintain and oversee compliance registers and contribute to First Line of Defence registers
  • Develop, update and maintain policies, manuals, procedures, and training materials
  • Undertake compliance monitoring to assess regulatory adherence and internal controls
  • Manage call recording processes in partnership with business and technology teams
  • Escalate issues and collaborate with Compliance and Legal for effective solutions
  • Develop into a trusted adviser to the business with risk-based compliance support
  • Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks and incidents
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assist with regulatory change initiatives
  • Support regulatory engagement preparations including reviews and audits

Key requirements

  • University degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong track record in the UK MiFID-regulated compliance function
  • Solid understanding of the UK regulatory landscape and practical application
  • Experience supporting monitoring, regulatory advisory, policy governance, or risk oversight
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive ownership and delivery
