As a Solution Architect at Saga, you will shape end-to-end technology solutions that align with business aims, supporting multiple business units. You’ll lead architectural design, govern risks, and ensure secure, scalable outcomes as Saga undergoes technology transformation. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party partners to move ideas from concept to reality. This role offers impact through architecture leadership across change initiatives and delivery.

Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end solution architectures aligned with business objectives and standards
- Produce and maintain architecture artefacts including designs, integration patterns, and deployment models
- Ensure security, scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness across solutions
- Evaluate tech options and make design recommendations based on value and risk
- Govern and approve designs through established processes
- Identify and manage architecture risks, constraints and dependencies
- Comply with EA principles, security policies and regulatory requirements
- Drive continual architectural improvement, governance, and standards
- Act as architectural lead across change initiatives from concept to delivery
- Provide architectural guidance for planning, estimation and delivery
- Translate complex concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
- Influence decisions with evidence-based recommendations and stakeholder communication
- Present options, risks and recommendations to governance forums
- Promote best practices and modern engineering principles
- Develop and promote reusable patterns and reference architectures
- Collaborate with third-party suppliers to ensure alignment with standards
- Review supplier proposals and implementation approaches for quality and value
Key requirements
- Experience delivering quality technical designs on time with appropriate detail
- Architectural experience in a regulated industry is preferred but learning-focused candidates considered
- Technical analysis of complex systems
- Exposure to EA frameworks (TOGAF)
- Experience with Azure
- Exposure to DevOps tooling
- System integration design
- Understanding of route-to-live and environment requirements
- Experience in agile, product-led, or hybrid delivery environments
- Strong communication and ability to translate complex concepts
