Overview

In this internship, you join FTI’s Technology Consulting team to support e-Discovery projects. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the lifecycle of data handling—from collection to processing and quality assurance—while working with cross-functional colleagues. The role emphasizes practical training, client-facing activities, and exposure to bespoke workflows used in investigations and large-scale litigation. You’ll grow through coaching, internal projects, and potential international travel, contributing to defensible, efficient data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients and project managers to understand requests
• Plan and execute electronic evidence collection on-site at client sites
• Use industry-standard and bespoke software to access, extract, and cull data
• Perform day-to-day data processing, conversion, analysis, quality control, and imports
• Maintain customer service focus to meet deadlines, including after-hours work when needed
• Travel as required to support case activities

Key requirements

• Student in a sandwich placement for 1 year (Sept 2027–Aug 2028)
• Penultimate year of university
• Achieved 2:1 or above in first year
• Motivation to work in the e-Discovery team at FTI Consulting
