Overview

In this Regional Financial Controller role, you will lead UK financial accounting for the Genius Sports Group, ensuring timely, accurate monthly reporting and statutory accounts. You will develop the UK finance team, drive cost and variance analysis, and support external reporting in line with GAAP and group policy. You’ll partner with FP&A, internal audit, and external auditors to streamline processes and controls, including SOX compliance and Workday adoption. Responsibilities

  • Produce timely monthly financial reporting and UK statutory accounts for UK subsidiaries
  • Lead and develop the UK finance/accounting team
  • Prepare monthly cost reporting and relevant analyses
  • Analyze variances against budget/forecast with FP&A
  • Review monthly P&Ls, balance sheets, and supporting schedules
  • Certify monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Improve finance processes and automate where possible
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit to ensure SOX compliance
  • Support US GAAP reporting for External Reporting
  • Coordinate with external auditors for audits
  • Manage UK VAT reconciliation and VAT returns preparation
  • Develop Workday Financials skills and reduce Excel reliance
  • Short-term cash flow forecasting
  • Handle ad hoc finance tasks as required
