Senior Project Manager

Overview

As Project Manager in the FCA team, you will support delivery of 6th‑gen combat air capabilities within the FCAS portfolio, coordinating across engineering, commercial, and customer stakeholders. You will drive schedule, risk, and milestone delivery, while helping secure future programme phases and champion robust governance and financial control. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary IPT focused on Flight Test Aircraft development and rapid evaluation of early products, enabling international collaboration and technology advancement. This role offers scope to influence outcomes across a high‑impact Defence programme and grow with a leading aerospace organisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM support to the Programme Manager and align across engineering, business functions, and customer stakeholders
• Drive performance across the IPT with emphasis on schedule adherence, risk management, and milestone delivery
• Support securing future programme phases through business-winning activities
• Champion best-in-class project management practices including financial control, governance, and performance reporting
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, resilience, and customer satisfaction

Key requirements

• Demonstrated experience in project management within complex engineering, aerospace, or defence environments
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams across multiple stakeholders and organisations
• Strong planning and execution skills underpinned by data‑driven decision‑making and performance management
• Experience managing customer relationships and delivering against contractual and operational commitments
• Knowledge of Defensive Aids Systems and platform level maintenance is advantageous but not essential
