Frontend Engineer

Overview

As a Frontend Engineer, you will shape data-dense enterprise interfaces and AI-assisted workflows using React, React Native and TypeScript. You’ll contribute to a shared, themesable component library within a growing UK core engineering team. You’ll tackle performance, real-time updates, and trusted, transparent UI for complex workflows in a multi-tenant SaaS context. This role offers visible impact on product surfaces and the AI experience, within an ambitious, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build advanced forms, analytics dashboards, and real-time views in React/React Native with TypeScript
• Leverage grids (AG Grid, MUI DataGrid) and responsive layouts to scale data-heavy interfaces
• Implement streaming responses, citations, verification flows and safe failure states
• Support agent workflows with visible progress, hand-offs, and interruption/correction capabilities
• Optimize perceived performance for model calls and interactive UX
• Contribute to component library and tenant theming, ensuring branding and permissions are clean
• Integrate frontend with backend APIs including authentication and RBAC
• Maintain tests (unit, integration, E2E) with Jest, RTL and Cypress/Playwright
• Adhere to WCAG 2.1 standards and optimize code-splitting and lazy loading
• Profile/backend pipelines via Jenkins and SonarQube for AWS deployment

Key requirements

• 5+ years front-end experience with strong React and TypeScript background
• Experience shipping data-dense enterprise interfaces and ability to explain grid and dashboard decisions
• Strong state management and front-end security knowledge (XSS, CSRF, CSP)
• Solid testing discipline
• Experience building SaaS or multi-tenant products, with Git, CI/CD and cloud deployment
• Daily use of AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor or Claude Code)
• Degree in engineering, computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
• React Native experience is valued
