Overview

You will maintain AMRs and plant equipment to keep production running with minimal disruption. You will work within Magna’s maintenance team to apply continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and 5S in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role supports safety, quality, and HSE standards while aligning with departmental and company goals. This is an opportunity to shape reliability and performance in a global automotive supplier setting. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment availability and materiel readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain AMRs and plant equipment to meet departmental targets
  • Perform root cause analysis on repeat or major breakdowns and report improvements
  • Engineer out recurring issues via continuous improvement approaches
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and recommend optimizations
  • Support internal customers with technical issues, including non-breakdown activities
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental procedures during maintenance
  • Maintain and improve equipment so quality is built in
  • Attend required training and adhere to CCUK and Magna standards
  • Apply 5S in the work area and wider factory
  • Align with department and company goals
  • Support ad-hoc projects and promote HSE policies

Key requirements

  • Time served apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum C & G craft qualification / NVQ level 3 qualification in related discipline or equivalent
  • Willingness to multi-skill
  • Experience in fault finding from electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and/or hydraulic schematics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical staff
  • 5S experience
  • Good problem-solving skills
