Senior ERP Project Manager

Overview

In this role you will take end-to-end ownership of delivering complex ERP and technology projects to enable Serco’s growth. You’ll lead ERP implementations, including SAP, across Finance, HR, and Procurement, translating requirements into business-ready solutions. You will manage diverse projects—from smaller workstreams to large change programmes—while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end responsibility for complex ERP and ERP-related IT projects from definition to handover
• Lead the implementation of SAP and other ERP products across the business
• Manage projects across a varied portfolio from multiple smaller work packages to large-scale programmes
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, Procurement and other functions to define priorities and deliver solutions
• Manage scope, plans, milestones, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies and change
• Coordinate with internal tech teams and external suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and standards
• Provide clear updates to senior stakeholders and escalate issues as needed
• Support major technology initiatives including S/4HANA Public Cloud deployment
• Oversee SAP migration projects such as MS Azure to Rise, with effective planning and delivery
• Support analytics and data transformation initiatives (e.g., Databricks)
• Contribute to technology requirements for new bids and business opportunities
• Ensure governance, documentation, testing and service transition are in place
• Drive continuous improvement by adopting repeatable, standardised solutions

Key requirements

• Significant ERP project management experience with hands-on ERP implementations or major ERP change
• Experience as IT/Technical Project Manager delivering complex tech projects
• Experience with SAP, including implementation, transformation or migration
• Experience delivering projects across Finance, HR and/or Procurement
• Strong PM capabilities: scope, budget, resources, milestones, risks, issues and change
• Experience managing multiple projects in a complex portfolio and prioritising effectively
• Strong stakeholder management with senior leaders, technical teams and external suppliers
• Experience managing third-party technology partners and ensuring delivery
• Understanding of systems integration, SDLC, requirements, testing and technical delivery
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
