Quantitative Analyst

Overview

In this role you will interpret and model large datasets to uncover trends and opportunities. You collaborate with analysts and developers to build and validate quantitative solutions that drive data-driven decisions. You will back-test models and refine methodologies in a fast-paced, technically focused environment. This is a hands-on position with a clear impact on analytical capabilities and business outcomes. You will join a central London team that values depth of analysis and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends and insights
• Develop and enhance quantitative and statistical models
• Apply probability and statistical techniques to real-world problems
• Develop, test and validate analytical models and methodologies
• Use programming languages to analyse data and develop quantitative solutions
• Collaborate with developers to implement analytical models
• Back-test models against historical data and assess performance
• Identify opportunities to improve existing models and techniques
• Communicate complex analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Key requirements

• PhD or MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or another highly quantitative discipline
• Strong understanding of probability, statistics and mathematical modelling
• Experience with large datasets and detailed data analysis
• Proficiency in Python, C#, C++ or Java
• Experience in data science, quantitative analysis or statistical modelling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive and inquisitive approach to solving complex problems
