Engineering Manager

Overview

As Engineering Manager you own site engineering performance at Aldridge PRF, leading safety, reliability and cost-effectiveness. You will develop the onsite engineering team, embed standards, and partner with Operations to optimise asset health. This role sits on the site leadership team, shaping maintenance strategy and long-term asset health. You’ll balance short-term uptime with durable improvements, driving a measurable impact on site performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary engineering team for high performance
• Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with engineering and H&S standards
• Drive asset reliability via preventative maintenance and maintain PM compliance above 95%
• Reduce breakdowns and reactive maintenance to improve plant availability
• Manage contractors with safe systems of work and quality delivery
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement sustainable solutions
• Plan and optimise shutdown activities to minimise downtime and risk
• Own engineering OPEX, contribute to CAPEX planning, embed standards
• Align engineering activities with operations to be a trusted partner
• Embed best-practice maintenance standards across the site

Key requirements

• Proven engineering or maintenance management experience
• Strong H&S leadership in an industrial environment
• Coaching and developmental leadership style
• Commercial awareness with understanding of OPEX and CAPEX
• Confident communicator at all levels
• Structured, calm and decisive
