Group Commodity Buyer Indirect

Overview

In this role, you will help shape and manage an international commodity strategy for indirect spend from our Belper site. You’ll support Group Commodity Buyers in developing supplier strategies, aiming to meet cost savings targets and improve KPIs. You will handle pre-contract activities, contract negotiations and ongoing management for a diverse range of indirect goods and services. This is a chance to contribute to a global purchasing function within a sustainability‑driven, family‑owned company.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage commodity strategy with an international supplier base
• Support Group Commodity Buyers in supplier strategy development
• Achieve cost savings targets and deliver financial benefits
• Monitor and improve supplier and purchasing KPIs
• Handle pre-contract activities, contract negotiations and contract management for indirect materials, services and investment goods
• Spend areas include Engineering, IT services, utilities, investment goods, consumables and Marketing
