Overview
In this role you will join Chadwick Nott’s Bristol-based Residential Development & Property team to handle a broad, technically challenging residential real estate caseload. You will support development, finance and investment work while leading junior colleagues and contributing to business development. The position offers clear progression and cross-functional collaboration with the wider Real Estate division. This is a chance to shape high-stakes property transactions for lenders, developers and investors.

Responsibilities
- Manage a broad range of residential property matters (development projects, bridging finance, portfolio refinances, title splitting, lease drafting, complex conveyancing)
- Handle plot sales, site set-up, infrastructure agreements and auction transactions
- Act for lenders, developers, and investors across residential real estate
- Advise on complex matters with minimal supervision and develop niche expertise
- Build and maintain Client relationships, scope fees and manage budgets
- Develop internal and external networks of clients and intermediaries; attend networking events and contribute to marketing initiatives
- Support junior team members with technical and business guidance; ensure clear communication across the team
- Track progress against KPIs and meet performance targets
Key requirements
- 5+ years PQE
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or CILEx
- Strong track record in complex residential conveyancing and development work
- Ability to manage own files and delegate effectively
- Excellent drafting, organisational and client relationship skills
- Commercially minded with enthusiasm for practice development
