Senior Research Scientist – Gas Filtration

Overview

In this role you will advance Dyson’s gas and water filtration technology within the Research function. You will lead projects from concept to delivery, building experimental rigs and guiding platform development for rapid proof-of-concept and optimization. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and leadership to translate complex science into actionable outcomes. Responsibilities

• Research and assess emerging gas and water filtration technologies for Home and/or New Category applications
• Plan, scope, and lead technical projects from concept through delivery
• Design and/or delegate rig/platform construction for experiments
• Develop and validate test methods for proof-of-concept and optimisation
• Manage stakeholders across cross-functional teams, suppliers, and leadership
• Communicate complex ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences

Key requirements

• Background in chemical filtration and/or purification (gas/water)
• Experience researching and critically assessing filtration technologies
• Experience with chemical analysis techniques
• Experience leading technical projects and collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams
• Rig design/build expertise or ability to specify and delegate builds
• Strong stakeholder management and clear communication skills including presenting complex concepts
