Software Engineer II – SMS International

Overview

As a Fullstack Software Engineer II on the SMS International team, you will help expand RCS and SMS internationally, building new services and shaping their architecture to scale for a growing ecommerce client base. You’ll work with a small, cross-functional team to integrate with broader Mobile Platforms initiatives and deliver value across regions. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge mobile messaging tech and a clear path to impact a global customer experience. This is a high-growth area aligned with Klaviyo’s mission to empower creators and deliver personalized mobile experiences.

Responsibilities

• Deliver RCS and SMS international expansion initiatives
• Build and architect new services and ensure scalable design
• Integrate services into the broader platform and collaborate across teams
• Debug and optimize performance, improving application throughput
• Contribute to and operate CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Key requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in software engineering
• Experience with full stack application development
• Experience with monolithic and microservices architectures
• Experience with AI tools to deliver business outcomes
• Experience with database design for high query volumes
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience debugging performance issues and improving performance
