Overview

In this role you will support a leading international law firm’s Restructuring & Special Situations team on complex restructurings and distressed transactions. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers, advising lenders, investors, and corporate clients in fast-paced matters across multiple jurisdictions. The position combines transactional work with advisory duties, offering early responsibility and exposure to cross-border matters within a collaborative banking practice. Responsibilities

  • Assist on financial restructurings, workouts and liability management exercises
  • Draft and negotiate restructuring and finance documentation
  • Support transactions involving distressed debt and special situations lending
  • Advise on directors’ duties, insolvency risk and creditor strategies
  • Conduct due diligence on capital structures, security packages and creditor positions
  • Support multi-jurisdictional restructurings and cross-border transactions
  • Liaise with clients, counterparties and advisers in time-sensitive situations
  • Contribute to business development and client initiatives

Key requirements

  • 1-3 years’ PQE at a leading City, international or strong regional firm
  • Experience in restructuring and insolvency matters
  • Strong exposure to finance documentation and transactional work
  • Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Proactive, ambitious and collaborative approach
  • SRA registered solicitor
