Senior Quality Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Quality Engineer you will ensure the highest quality across a key defence programme. You’ll work in a collaborative Project Quality team, guiding outputs to meet customer and regulatory requirements on time. The role is visible across internal and customer interfaces, driving quality performance and continuous improvement. Responsibilities

• Represent the customer’s interests and maintain an open, collaborative relationship
• Oversee progress and sign-off delivery to assure customer requirements are met
• Collect, analyse and report on quality performance data
• Lead investigations into quality escapes and drive preventative actions using quality tools
• Provide quality expertise for future bids and proposals

Key requirements

• Experience as a quality assurance engineer in a related industry with lifecycle quality application
• Proven track record delivering quality improvements and leading culture change in a customer-facing context
• Experience auditing ISO 9001 management systems
• Strong knowledge of quality tools (Pareto, FMEA, 5 Why’s, 8D) and ability to mentor others
• Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and applying them in real scenarios
• Security clearance eligibility (BPSS/SC)
