In this role you will handle high-value contentious construction work within a premier Real Estate team in Bristol, advising on disputes and risk management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior lawyers, and contribute to business development and thought leadership. The position combines dispute resolution across adjudication, arbitration, and litigation with advisory work for developers, contractors, and insurers in public and private sectors. It offers hybrid working and a chance to influence complex projects and client relationships.

Responsibilities
- Advising on adjudication, arbitration, litigation and dispute avoidance strategies
- Representing developers, contractors, consultants and insurers across commercial/public sectors
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and correspondence in contentious matters
- Providing strategic advice on contract interpretation and project risk
- Collaborating with Real Estate, Planning and Corporate teams
- Supporting business development and contributing to thought leadership
- Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team growth
Key requirements
- 4+ years PQE in contentious construction law
- Strong experience in adjudication, litigation and ADR
- Excellent drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills
- Client-facing confidence and relationship-building ability
- Proactive, commercial mindset and collaborative approach
