Overview
In this role you will design and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives, manage supplier performance, and drive value through cost savings, compliance, and risk mitigation. You work closely with Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure quality, service, and sustainability across the supply chain. You will lead supplier onboarding, audits, and contract management, delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and resilience. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned to business objectives
- Manage supplier relationships to meet quality, service, cost, and compliance requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, resilience, and sustainability
- Monitor supplier performance via KPIs, reviews, and scorecards
- Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and contract management
- Support procurement activities including tendering, negotiations, and contract renewals
- Deliver cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality
- Ensure contractual obligations and SLAs are achieved
- Ensure suppliers meet regulatory, insurance, health and safety, and company compliance requirements
- Conduct supplier audits and due diligence
- Maintain approved supplier databases and compliance records
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and business continuity concerns
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Facilities Management, Engineering, and Commercial teams
- Produce regular reports on supplier performance, cost savings, compliance, and risk
- Analyse spend data for consolidation or improvement
- Deliver performance presentations to senior management
- Monitor market trends and emerging supplier opportunities
Key requirements
- Degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related discipline
- CIPS qualification (Level 4 or above desirable)
- Proven experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Vendor Management
- Experience managing supplier contracts and commercial negotiations
- Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and supplier governance
- Experience in Facilities Management, Construction, Engineering, or Property Services environments desirable
- Experience delivering cost reduction and value improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Strong negotiation and influencing abilities
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
