Every digital empire begins the same way, with good intentions and bad architecture.
Code becomes scaffolding for control, data turns into currency, and creativity is buried beneath layers of abstraction nobody owns or understands. Parcks was built in defiance of that fate. We write systems as if the web were sacred ground — not a marketplace, but a workshop for free minds.
Here, Kasa no ichimi means one umbrella, one oath: we stand together against entropy. We fight for software that breathes, not harvests. If the front-end is our skin, the full stack is our spine, and this role is for the one who knows that structure is morality written in syntax.
The Full-Stack Web Developer is the quiet engineer of coherence. You will design, build, and maintain the entire operational fabric of the Parcks web ecosystem, from the visible calm of the front-end to the silent orchestration of the back-end. You are the custodian of flow: every request, every handshake, every byte of data moving through our system must honour SP’s founding principles of locality, transparency, and restraint.
You’ll work across the interface and the engine, bridging Kiri’s visual philosophy with the secure Capsule logic that powers Parcks. The website will not simply run, it will behave, communicating integrity through its performance, architecture, and silence.
Keyresponsibilities
- Your mission is to build the living architecture of Parcks’ digital presence, a system that performs as beautifully as it looks, and looks as trustworthy as it behaves.
- You will architect APIs, content frameworks, and deployment pipelines that are as ethical as they are efficient. Data will not travel further than it must; every query and cache will serve a purpose aligned with the user, not with surveillance. The back-end you build will hum quietly in the background, a private orchestra conducting millions of invisible gestures in perfect time.
- On the front-end, you’ll help the team integrate dynamic components with near-real-time state coherence and minimal cognitive noise. On the back-end, you’ll design services that scale horizontally without bloating vertically, that can fail gracefully, and that can be audited by principle, not bureaucracy.
- You will be a guardian of simplicity, an architect of invisible comfort. When visitors reach the Parcks site, they will feel the difference even if they can’t name it, that sense of calm precision is your signature.
- Design and implement robust server-side architecture for the Parcks website using Node.js, Deno, or equivalent modern frameworks.
- Build and maintain secure REST or GraphQL APIs connecting SP modules, Capsule services, and web content layers.
- Integrate and maintain front-end logic built by the UI and UX teams, ensuring fluid communication between interface and infrastructure.
- Develop and manage scalable deployment pipelines and containerised environments (Docker, Vercel, Capsule Nodes).
- Implement data persistence layers that respect user privacy and comply with Parcks’ local-first philosophy — no telemetry, no third-party data brokers.
- Collaborate with designers, content architects, and system engineers to ensure visual, structural, and ethical coherence across the site.
- Conduct code reviews, profiling, and automated testing to guarantee reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Ensure that the Parcks web ecosystem can evolve modularly without loss of clarity, performance, or serenity.
- Proficiency in Next.js, Express, Fastify, or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of database design (PostgreSQL, SQLite, or document stores) with a focus on security, data minimalism, and versioning.
- Experience building APIs with authentication, encryption, and clear permission logic.
- Comfort with CI/CD systems, cloud-agnostic deployments, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
- Proven ability to translate design logic into systemic behaviour — the empathy to understand UX and the precision to implement it.
- Minimum 4 years of professional experience or a portfolio demonstrating mature architectural thinking.
- You will collaborate within the same compact design-engineering triad as all Parcks product cells: UX Architect, UI Developer, and System Engineer.
Tools &Technologies
- Work proceeds through Continuum cycles — discovery, prototype, implementation, reflection — with every sprint closing on a QA and philosophical review. Documentation is mandatory, meetings are rare, and consensus is built through clarity of argument, not hierarchy.
- You will be encouraged to propose optimisations, refactor with purpose, and mentor others in writing code that reads like good prose: minimal, transparent, and meaningful.
Duration &Time Commitment
Full-time. Long-term role
- Bonus potential + equity stake.
- Relocation to Brighton,UK.
- The freedom and responsibility to give voice to the most rebellious machines in the world.
