The SNKE for Editorial content production will be responsible for supporting the comprehensive planning, design and development of relevant content as part of the strategic communication activities or ad-hoc needs within the framework of this project in the UK. This includes 1-pagers, factsheets, eCards, outlines, briefs, testimonials, shorts featured stories etc. The SNKE will work under the guidance of the Public Diplomacy Lead/ Key Expert 2 and in close cooperation with the entire project team.

The “Building a Close Relationship with the United Kingdom” project aims to strengthen ties and mutual understanding between the EU and the United Kingdom. The project focuses on fostering dialogue, collaboration, and public engagement through a series of events, campaigns, and communication activities, with a strong emphasis on social media outreach.

What you will do

  • Assist in the planning, design and development of editorial content.
  • Identify, conceptualise and produce editorial content and other materials reflecting the EU-UK partnership and which have the potential to increase outreach and/or produced for specific audiences’ engagement objectives.
  • Research, source and organise relevant information within the framework of the needed editorial product.
  • Contribute to the generation, editing, and curation of original content (text, images etc.) that promotes EU activities and engages target audiences in the UK.
  • Support monitoring, analysis, and reporting of the outreach of such content where possible.
  • Help prepare and oversee the collection, organisation, and distribution of digital promotional and visibility materials.
  • Support in coordination of special editorial projects, pitching campaigns and activations (where needed)
  • Participate in planning and brainstorming sessions with the EUD and the project team for new editorial content.
  • Map, develop a database and keep up to date a network of non-media multipliers in UK: NGOs, Academia, Libraries, Universities, Women associations, Youth organisations, Local authorities etc.
  • Undertake any other editorial-related tasks assigned by the Public Diplomacy Lead that might be needed for a smooth delivery of the EU in UK editorial and outreach approach.
  • University degree in communications, journalism, political science, international relations, marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in communication
  • Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills in English (C1/B2 level or higher)
  • Strong computer literacy and knowledge of online content production and distribution platforms
  • Proven experience in producing EU-related editorial content and engaging target audiences
  • Experience working in the EU-funded communication projects
  • Demonstrable content production, outreach experience and knowledge of relevant methodologies and tools.

We offer the opportunity to develop yourself in an EU-funded project while working with a team of highly motivated professionals in a truly diverse and multicultural organisation. Assignments are provided on an ad hoc and hourly basis, with a workload of cca. three working days per month. Remuneration is set at 500 EUR per working day.
