H&S Advisor / Administrator

Salary: £30,000 per annum
Hours: Days, Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an H&S Advisor to join a growing manufacturing business based in Leicestershire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional looking to develop their career within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
Working closely with the HSE Coordinator, you will provide day-to-day Health & Safety support across multiple sites, helping to maintain high standards of compliance and promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the HSE Coordinator with the implementation and maintenance of Health & Safety standards across multiple sites.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety checks.
- Assist with risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments.
- Support accident, incident and near-miss investigations.
- Help identify areas for improvement and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Provide Health & Safety guidance and support to employees and management.
- Assist with maintaining H&S documentation, records and compliance systems.
- Support the delivery of toolbox talks, inductions and safety training.
- Monitor compliance with company policies and relevant Health & Safety legislation.
- Travel between sites as required to provide hands-on H&S support.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working within a manufacturing, industrial or similar operational environment and have a genuine interest in developing their Health & Safety career.
You will be:
- Practical and hands-on in your approach.
- Confident communicating with people at all levels.
- Comfortable working across multiple sites.
- Organised with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive in identifying and resolving Health & Safety issues.
- Keen to develop and take on additional responsibility.
- A relevant Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent would be advantageous.
