What You’ll Do
As a Senior AI Tech Consultant in our Telecommunications practice, you will work with BCG case teams and client leadership on complex technology and transformation challenges. You will own substantial workstreams: structuring problems, developing hypotheses, conducting analysis and translating findings into recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Your work may span:
- Telco platforms and modernisation – transforming BSS/OSS and digital estates across customer, product, order, billing, charging, service management and assurance
- Customer and digital experience – shaping digital channels, CRM, customer care, contact-centre platforms and AI-enabled customer interactions
- Cloud, platform and engineering transformation – supporting cloud and platform strategies, DevSecOps, engineering effectiveness and AI-enabled software delivery
- GenAI, agentic AI and automation – identifying high-value opportunities across customer care, IT and network operations, redesigning human-agent workflows and moving from pilots to scaled impact
- Technology operating model and delivery – improving organisation structures, governance, decision rights and ways of working
- Technology economics, cost and sourcing – supporting cost transformation, vendor strategy, managed services, cloud economics and technology productivity
You will help clients prioritise AI value pools, develop business cases and roadmaps, and assess the data, platform, governance, risk and change capabilities required to scale GenAI and agentic solutions responsibly.
You will evaluate technology options and vendor proposals and support decisions balancing value, cost, risk and implementation complexity. Working with architects, engineers, product and AI specialists, you will understand technical implications while staying focused on strategic and transformation questions.
You will support implementation through governance, value tracking, risk management and programme assessment. You will lead client workshops, communicate recommendations, coach junior colleagues and contribute to proposals, client relationships and BCG Platinion’s Telco capabilities.
