Salary: £68,888 per annum rising to £75,031 after 1 year in post.

We are recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our vital safety service for mariners. The role is based at our headquarters in central Edinburgh, with the option of hybrid working. You will be accountable for technical oversight of all NLB Lights, Buildings and Berth Electrical Systems. This includes definition of planned and unplanned maintenance and renewal programmes, monitoring and implementation of relevant new technologies and be the technical approver of design and quality of electrical work.
You will have responsibility for electrical safety, competency and training specifications for approximately 25 electrical technicians and electrical engineers. You will also line manage two electrical engineers within 12 months in post.
