Marston Holdings is a leading provider of technology enabled solutions and services, supporting local and central government, utilities and private sector organisations across the UK.

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Marketing Manager to manage the marketing activity across our Transportation and Technology portfolio, with responsibility for Project Centre (PCL), NSL, VidAlert and Vortex.

About the role

As the Marketing Manager you will play a key role in developing and delivering integrated marketing strategies that strengthen our brands, increase customer and prospect engagement, generate new business opportunities and support the continued growth of these businesses.

This is a highly hands-on role, combining strategic thinking and marketing leadership with the delivery of high-impact campaigns, content and projects. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the businesses and work directly with a talented marketing team of three colleagues, ensuring our marketing activity is commercially focused, measurable and aligned to business objectives.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and deliver the Transportation and Technology marketing plan across PCL, NSL, VidAlert and Vortex, ensuring marketing activity supports commercial objectives and business growth.
  • Provide marketing management and coordination across the portfolio, ensuring a coherent, consistent and compelling external presence for each business and the wider Marston Holdings Group.
  • Develop and deliver integrated B2B marketing campaigns across multiple brands, audiences and channels to increase brand awareness, customer engagement and lead generation.
  • Work closely with key internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, understand customer needs and develop relevant content and campaigns that support the sales pipeline.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of high-quality marketing content, including thought leadership, digital content, case studies, campaigns, presentations and other customer-facing materials.
  • Manage and develop the marketing team, providing clear direction, setting objectives and KPIs, managing workloads and supporting individual development and capability.
  • Monitor marketing performance and provide regular reporting against agreed objectives and KPIs, using data and insight to continually improve activity.
  • Take responsibility for marketing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Establish and maintain robust marketing systems, processes and governance to ensure campaigns and activity are delivered efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
  • Lead strategic marketing projects, including website and CRM development, ensuring platforms and processes effectively support customer engagement, lead generation and business growth.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across PCL, NSL, Vidalert, and Vortex, as well as the wider Marston Holdings Group.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience working in a B2B marketing role, ideally within a complex, multi-business or multi-brand organisation.
  • Experience developing and delivering integrated marketing strategies and campaigns that support business growth, lead generation and customer engagement.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience of managing, motivating and developing a marketing team, including setting objectives, monitoring performance and supporting professional development.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets and demonstrating marketing ROI.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data, insight and KPIs to measure and improve marketing performance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on and solutions-focused approach.
  • Experience with CRM, websites and marketing systems, with an understanding of how technology can support marketing effectiveness and business growth.

Qualifications

  • CIM Level 6 qualification or equivalent is desirable.

What you will get in return

  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Package, subject to eligibility criteria.
  • Health Cash Back Plan.
  • Staff benefits designed to suit you, from discounts on high street and online shopping to travel, socialising and wellbeing.
  • Pension Scheme.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression within a growing organisation.

New starters will be subject to clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and a County Court Judgment check. In addition, the post holder is expected to keep the Company updated if their personal circumstances change.

We are an equal opportunity employer, which means we’ll consider all suitably qualified applicants regardless of gender identity or expression, ethnic origin, nationality, religion or beliefs, age, sexual orientation, disability status or any other protected characteristic. We recruit and develop our people based on merit and their passion for creating better outcomes, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
