Maintenance Operative (Highways)
Industry: Civil Engineering
Location: Isle of Wight
Hours: 7.30 a.m. – 4.00pm, 40 hours per week
Days: Monday – Sunday on an on-call rota basis
Duration: Temporary, immediate start, ongoing
Duties:
Working within a small team, attending reactive maintenance requests including;
filling of potholes, basic tarmacking,
repairing, replacing and repainting street furniture,
general labouring and manual handling.
Adherence to quality and health and safety standards.
Experience:
Must have previous construction experience and be physically fit due to the nature of duties.
Highways experience is an advantage.
Must have a full driver licence and an awareness of health and safety.
Must be able to work well as part of a team, to instruction.
Flexibility with working hours as rota can be evenings and weekends.
Salary: £12.71 per hour worked, overtime paid at time and a half or 1.3 depending on rota
