HGV Driver

iRecruit4 are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a well-established company. This is a great temp-to-perm opportunity for someone looking for a long-term position.

This is a physical, hands-on role where you will work alongside a Driver’s Mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently. You will be required to assist with loading and unloading items, so a good level of fitness and a willingness to get stuck in are essential.

Hours, Pay & Benefits for Class 2 Driver :

• £16 to £17.90 per hour
• Minimum 8 hours pay
• Monday to Friday
• 5:00am start – Finish times vary depending on the route

Key Responsibilities for Class 2 Driver:

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle
• Working alongside a Driver’s Mate
• Completing deliveries and collections
• 1–10 drops per day depending on the type of items
• Loading and unloading goods
• Assisting with physical/manual duties
• Carrying out vehicle checks
• Following health & safety procedures

Requirements for Class 2 Driver:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 2 driving experience
• Comfortable with physical/manual work
• Reliable and punctual
• Flexible with finish times
