Accounts Manager – Edinburgh

Clark Wood are working with a leading accountancy practice in Edinburgh who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant with strong general practice experience who is looking to manage their own portfolio, develop a team and become more involved in business development.

The Role

• Managing a varied portfolio of OMBs, corporate clients and partnerships
• Planning, controlling and reviewing accounts work
• Managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met
• Day-to-day management and development of junior staff
• Reviewing work and providing feedback and technical support
• Building strong relationships with clients and providing commercial advice
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional services
• Supporting business development through networking and client referrals

The Candidate

• ACA / ACCA qualified
• Ideally 3+ years’ post-qualified experience
• Strong external accounts and general practice experience
• Experience working with OMBs, corporates and partnerships
• Confident managing and developing junior staff
• Strong client-facing and commercial skills
• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and CaseWare would be beneficial
