Keeping a busy manufacturing operation moving takes more than fixing faults when they happen, it means finding the cause, improving reliability and preventing the same problems coming back. As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you’ll have a hands-on role maintaining production equipment across a busy extrusion operation, combining electrical and mechanical expertise to keep performance on track.

Your responsibilities as Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

  • Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance across production equipment
  • Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults to minimise production downtime
  • Complete planned maintenance to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Work alongside production and quality teams to support output and product quality
  • Diagnose issues across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Support commissioning and continuous improvement activities where required

What we’re looking for in a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Practical electrical and mechanical maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong fault-finding capability across electrical and mechanical systems, alongside hydraulic knowledge
  • A sound understanding of health and safety requirements within manufacturing
  • PLC, machinery commissioning or continuous improvement experience would be advantageous

Working hours: 12-hour day and night shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rotation.
