Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant – Wigan

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Wigan primary school who are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide additional support within their Early Years provision.

The role will involve supporting a child with additional needs, helping them access learning and develop their confidence and independence.

The role:

• Supporting a child within Nursery or Reception
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting communication, interaction and learning
• Helping with routines and transitions
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Encouraging independence and positive relationships

We’re looking for:

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND
• Experience within Early Years is highly desirable
• A calm, patient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication skills
• Someone who can build a positive relationship with the child
• A proactive and adaptable attitude

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced TA, Nursery Nurse or Early Years Practitioner looking to develop their experience within SEND.
