Insurance Officer needed in Newton Abbot

This is a temporary role and the rate is £18.04ph PAYE

The successful candidate will support the Finance Systems & Transaction Manager in delivering the provision of an accountancy service for the authority, in particular insurance administration:

• Insurance claims handling
• Provision of insurance advice
• Maintenance of database of insurance claims
• Liaise with internal clients and external contacts to progress and support insurance claims, including insurance broker, insurance provider, claims handler, appointed solicitor and loss adjuster.
• Maintenance of insurance claims database and assist with the development of the system and reporting.
• Assist in completion of annual insurance renewal documentation.
• Contribute to reports for members, Senior Leadership Team and partner working groups to consider on issues relating to the Accountancy Team’s functions.
• Make sure that Finance Team offers a customer focused service.
