What you’ll be doing:

• Provide first-line technical support to users by phone, email, Teams or in person
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
• Set up and configure laptops, desktops, printers and other IT equipment
• Install and update software and applications
• Create, update and manage user accounts and access permissions
• Troubleshoot basic network, Wi-Fi and connectivity issues
• Log, track and resolve support tickets within agreed timescales
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT teams when required
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and user accounts
• Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding of employees
• Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment records
• Follow IT security, data protection and company policies
• Help users understand and use IT systems effectively

• Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365
• Understanding of computer hardware and software
• Basic networking knowledge
• Good communication and customer-service skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple support requests
• A patient and helpful approach to users
• Willingness to learn new technologies

Qualification / Education:

• A qualification in IT, Computer Science, Computing or a related subject is desirable.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certifications or ITIL Foundation are an advantage but not essential.
• Candidates with relevant practical experience, apprenticeships or IT projects are also encouraged to apply.
