Internal Sales Advisor (Powered Access) – Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire
At Star Platforms, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Hire Desk Sales Advisor to join our growing team at our modern Houghton Regis office. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful national business where you’ll play a key role in helping customers find the right powered access solutions for their projects.
Whether you’re already working on a hire desk or have experience in customer service, internal sales, construction supplies, transport, logistics, or equipment rental, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Hire Desk Sales Advisor, you’ll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, delivering outstanding service while helping to grow the business through proactive sales activity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing inbound and outbound telephone calls and emails
- Building strong relationships with customers and understanding their requirements
- Converting hire enquiries into orders and maximising sales opportunities
- Identifying opportunities to cross-sell related products and services
- Providing customers with suitable powered access solutions
- Preparing accurate quotations and processing orders
- Coordinating hire requests from enquiry through to delivery
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure excellent customer service
- Supporting customers with product information and technical guidance

- Experience in a customer service, sales, account management, hire desk, logistics or coordination role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
- A positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach
